2032 - Not much going on. It's the quiet time right before school gets rolling again for me. A CMIT class that's really mostly about the CISSP certificate, and a business writing course - those are my millstones this semester. After a weekend full of yardwork in warmer-than-expected temperatures, I took it absolutely easy on the holiday Monday - I even took a nap! Catching up thereafter on reading, renewals, chores and whatnot ate yesterday evening, so sorry.
Did you miss the weekend? Then catch these two lectures by the late Randy Pausch. Seriously. This one: Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams at CMU, and then a couple of months later, on Time Management at the University of Virginia. I found them both moving and useful. That is all. Ciao!

1939 - Never forget. Never give up. Never surrender.
Our condolences, still, to America, in memory of all the men and women who lost their lives (and are still losing their lives, in the case of emergency responders) nine years ago in multiple acts of war against our country by radical Islam.

2222 - I made a few gallons of chili today: beef, mild and spicy sausage, and chicken, along with lots of peppers, onions, garlic, and all the usual ingredients. Happy tongue at suppertime. Much of the rest of the day was given to watching iTunes U videos, since is was raining for a lot of the day, yay! Just got back from picking Linda up at the airport and returning her home. Now, before I retire for the evening...
Our condolences to the families and units of the fallen warriors reported this week by DoD.

Visit the rest of the DAYNOTES GANG, a collection of bright minds and sharp wits. Really, I don't know why they tolerate me <grin>. My personal inspiration for these pages is Dr. Jerry Pournelle. I am also indebted to Bob Thompson and Tom Syroid for their patience, guidance and feedback. Of course, I am sustained by and beholden to my lovely wife, Marcia. You can find her online too, at http://www.dutchgirl.net/. Thanks for dropping by.
