1949 - Good evening. Yesterday's post is up in yesterday's page, finally. I'm getting caught up. The weekend got eaten by a grue. Or possibly a 4.mumble page paper on Napoleon Bonaparte for my History course. Yeah, it turns out that writing short is a LOT harder than writing long, especially when the given topic is much wider than a 4-page scope. Oh, well, I hope it came out okay. Oh, hey, and my Cisco Internetworking course opened up yesterday, too. W00t! This is going to be a fun semster, I think (in the learning things I need and/or enjoy sense). Ciao!

2150 - Grungy work under and over the floor in the data center today. Unracking some legacy gear and sending it off, routing some distance plenum runs, etc. Payoff was in the middle - a Chinese New Year event that included lunch. What was it? My favorite kind: Free!

2156 - Wind. Lots of wind and smoke. Smoke? Yeah, high wind (gusts up to 60 MPH), low humidity, moderate temps and everything dried out. Wild fires, fires at mulching facilities, freeway closed due to smoke, etc. My fault for going up on the roof yesterday to replace & repair from the last wind storm. Sigh.

Jen and Kris over to supper tonight, out from Annapolis. A pork loin roast that had rib rub on it for the last 24 hours, yum. Quartered red potatoes boiled halfway done, then sauteed in olive oil, garlic, and italian herbs. That plus a salad made for wonderful dinner. Fun evening. Now, before I forget, I'd best send an email and ask Jerry about this month's column. Ciao!

2129 - Today, shopping, school work, and stir-fry chicken for supper. The life of Reilly, I tell you three times.

Our condolences to the families and units of these fallen warriors:

• Spc. Lashawn D. Evans, 24, of Columbia, South Carolina, died Feb. 15 in Baghdad province, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident.
• Airman 1st Class Corey C. Owens, 26, of San Antonio, Texas, died Feb. 17 due to a non-combat related incident at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq.
• Spc. Jonathan A. Pilgeram, 22, of Great Falls, Montana, died Feb. 17 in Konar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire.
• Sgt. Matthew J. Deyoung, 26, of Talent, Oregon, died Feb. 18 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
• Airman 1st Class Christoffer P. Johnson, 20, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Feb. 17 due to a non-combat related incident in Southwest Asia.
• Staff Sgt. Bradley C. Hart, 25, of Perrysburg, Ohio, died February 17 at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa, of injuries sustained in a non combat incident.
