2220 - Tonight, reading Paret and Weigley on the topic of WWII, about 300 pages worth. Interesting, and I've got to put together a four page paper by Sunday night on a topic thereon. Marcia made yummy chicken fajitas for supper, too! Time to finish the last of the readings... Ciao!

2254 - Tonight, supper was chicken sausage sauteed with broccoli. Schoolwork? Just a little. The big action was getting Windows 7 patched on Harmony the MacBook Pro. SP1 wouldn't install through Windows Update, I had to pull down the manual patch and apply it. Took long enough that I could have installed, updated, and configured a fistfull of Linux. Whew, done! G'night.

2134 - Killed by Daylight Stealing Time. Thanks, US Congress, you waste of skin, you! Today I managed to finish my next history paper - I got that submitted a couple of minutes ago. A quiz yesterday that I nailed, a quiz earlier in the week for the CMIT course that I nailed. It's been a good week, but tiring. I took break from the paper to turn over the back garden ... by hand (well, by shovel, in fact), since the rototiller is out of commission. I'll have to get some docs, or pay someone to fix that, it's just too, too handy. I think I know what's wrong, but the part's fallen off the machine, who knows where, and now the engine won't keep running. It's a throttle/choke linkage I think. Anyway, more on that one day.
Our condolences to the familes and units of these fallen warriors:

Visit the rest of the DAYNOTES GANG, a collection of bright minds and sharp wits. Really, I don't know why they tolerate me <grin>. My personal inspiration for these pages is Dr. Jerry Pournelle. I am also indebted to Bob Thompson and Tom Syroid for their patience, guidance and feedback. Of course, I am sustained by and beholden to my lovely wife, Marcia. You can find her online too, at http://www.dutchgirl.net/. Thanks for dropping by.
