2127 - Well, that's a surprise! I've done everything Monday evening calls for except the last walking of the mutt (that's coming soon), and I'm still awake! Yay, even afflicted by Daylight Stealing Time. I really only wanted to point out one funny thing...

A poster vendor I deal with from time to time send one of their regular emails, entitled "Your Spring Surprise Inside!" The first thought through my head was this: "Covered in darkest creamy chocolate, when you pop it in your mouth, steel bolts spring out and plunge straight through both cheeks." Thanks, Terry! (link).

Now, time to walk the mutt. Ciao!

2102 - Seriously? The whole week is gone? Sigh. Well, let's see. I kept trying to get a cold. Check. Hardware issues at work had me at work two evenings this week until late in the evening. Check. Catching up on the school work missed by working into the evening. Check. Rototilled the garden boxes yesterday. Check. So, it's not my fault, I was just busy. Sorry about that, nothing wrong that either of you needed to worry about. Gosh, I'm looking forward to this school thing being done and over with ... in December of 2012. Yikes!

Our condolences to the families and units of these fallen warriors:

• Sgt. 1st Class Dae Han Park, 36, of Watertown, Connecticut, died March 12, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
• Cpl. Ian M. Muller, 22, of Danville, Vermont, died March 11 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
• Pfc. Arturo E. Rodriguez, 19, of Bellflower, California, died March, 12 in Paktika province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire.
• Staff Sgt. Travis M. Tompkins, 31, of Lawton, Oklahoma, died March 16 in Logar province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained on March 15, when enemy forces attacked his unit with a rocket propelled grenade.
• Senior Airman Michael J. Hinkle II, 24, of Corona, California, died March 16 due to a non-combat related incident in Southwest Asia.
• Lance Cpl. Christopher S. Meis, 20, of Bennett, Colorado, died March 17 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
• Cpl. Donald R. Mickler Jr., 29, of Bucyrus, Ohio, died March 19 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was allegedly shot with small arms fire by an individual from a military security group.
• Pfc. Rudy A. Acosta, 19, of Canyon Country, California, died March 19 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was allegedly shot with small arms fire by an individual from a military security group.
