2201 - Progress in fits and starts. Lexi continues to be a bit of a trial, but then, we've got her in an enforced week-long time-out for heartworm treatment (and the next round starts next week). So we don't let her off leash to run around the back yard, we keep her penned or crated in the house much of the time ... that's no life for a young dog. But soon we'll be past these stages. I'm hoping that her difficulty with housetraining is mostly due to this. Not that she's had an accident in the last couple of days, but she'll handle business with me in the back yard, where she won't when it's Marcia that takes her out. So we're not there yet.

Tonight, schoolwork. One foot in front of the other, march ends eventually, eh?

2202 - And tonight, schoolwork, after most of the day at a VMware event downtown. I'm falling behind on everything. I think, for a variety of reasons, I'm going to take a break instead of classes in the Summer session, I'll pick up the ball in late August when the Fall session starts. This is merely an 80% determination, subject to change, but it's not like I don't stay busy... Ciao!

2054 - A productive day - I played hookie ... from work at the office. Instead, I finished up and submitted the last project for my writing class, so that is done: no final. During the balance of the day, I finished priming the second remodel room. Tomorrow I plan on starting the color coats. We've got "Crisp Linen" in an eggshell finish for ceilings and trim, and that might take the whole day. Then I can put wall color up in one room on Sunday. But then, given the schedule over the next couple of weeks, I probably won't lay the flooring until May 8, because the two intervening weekends have conflicting items on the dance card. I can probably haul the doors downstairs and refinish them on some of the evenings, but I still have one big project to finish, then a final for my CMIT course. Oh, yeah, and plumbing, too. When all that's done, I'm probably going to pay to have the house cleaned, just to get caught up. Now, to unwind. Ciao!

2200 - Well. The color coat is on trim and ceilings. I would say that I took today off, but frankly, I got everything done that I had energy to do, which wasn't much. Now I have to get organized for tomorrow. But first...

Our condolences to the families and units of the fallen.

Visit the rest of the DAYNOTES GANG, a collection of bright minds and sharp wits. Really, I don't know why they tolerate me <grin>. My personal inspiration for these pages is Dr. Jerry Pournelle. I am also indebted to Bob Thompson and Tom Syroid for their patience, guidance and feedback. Of course, I am sustained by and beholden to my lovely wife, Marcia. You can find her online too, at http://www.dutchgirl.net/. Thanks for dropping by.
